On July 12, 2024, KUSI-TV Good Morning San Diego anchor Lauren Phinney interviewed Coronado Island Film Festival’s Merridee Book as well as the Coronado Ukulele Club band and they then played “Great Balls Of Fire”, written by Otis Blackwell and Jack Hammer and popularized by Jerry Lee Lewis. They started with a version of the Beach Boys “Surfin’ Safari”.
The players were Daniel, Jennifer, Chris, Andrew, Joe, Lori, Dawn, Trish, Pricilla and Claudio.
